Do not walk, RUN to Himalayan Station. Their momos are exceptional! The filling is well balanced, they are perfectly shaped, and well portioned. This was probably the best momo I've had in Auckland so far, at a great price! Momo is a popular type of Himalayan dumpling that originated in Tibet and is a staple dish in Nepali cuisine, as well as in Bhutan and parts of India. I was blown away by their momos. It is a harmonious blend of delicate texture, aromatic spices, and a satisfying, juicy filling, accentuated by a bold dipping sauce. The casing/wrapper is thin and silky. I opted for a chicken filling and it is seasoned with a balance of aromatics like ginger, garlic, and onions, with warming spices like cumin and coriander. The momo is rarely eaten alone. A crucial component is the accompanying sauce, and this zesty, spicy tomato-based chutney adds an essential kick of heat, tang, and depth that complements the dumpling's mildness. I could bathe in their sauce! Himalayan Station's momos have a complex blend that can be described as earthy, savoury, and fresh, with a subtle spice note. It is not necessarily "hot" spice, but a pleasant, well-rounded warmth. The flavour is distinct from Chinese or Thai dumplings, with a unique South Asian flair. The owner was very friendly. There is a bench to sit and eat, but it's mostly a take away.

The food was awesome and genuinely tasted like authentic Nepalese cuisine. I definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you enjoy local-style tastes! Plus, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get.❤️

A brand new takeaway spot, try the Szechuan momos (dumplings)! Great flavour. The lamb stir fry rice also light and tasty. Will be back to try the other options soon.

Had amazing chicken momos they were so juice and flavourful one of the best momos I've had and their momo combo offer is just great! They also do offer student discount so for students this is an amazing place not that pricey for the portions. Would 100% recommend!!! I've had their schezwan momos as well nodded they were the best and really spicy and absolutely phenomenal! Only drawback was that the dumpling wrapper was a little too thick but other than that it was fantabulous 😄😄
