  We are truly grateful to Hepi and the team at Island Desserts and BBQ Restaurant for serving our community during our funeral gathering. We chose the $15 BBQ plates, which were simple, fulfilling, and absolutely delicious. Over two nights, they served 500 plates, each ready to serve with cutlery and napkins, still hot, and dropped off to our location, making everything stress-free. On the first day, seeing their blue truck pull up to my mother-in-law’s failotu was such a proud and special moment. Even with a last-minute, same-day request of 250 bowls, they pulled through and saved the day! Everyone who tried the plates asked who was cooking, and our reply was always our Island Desserts and BBQ Restaurant. When we asked Hepi if they could serve the next day, they were ready to take on the next load without hesitation. What’s even more convenient is that they have their store located in Onehunga so if we ever missed having those hot plates, we know we can buy them anytime 😊. The team was professional, friendly and caring—their effort and heart meant so much to our family during this difficult time.
