3 months ago5/5 Stars! Amazing escape room experience. The set design is immersive, puzzles are clever and well-balanced—not too easy nor frustrating. Our game master was super friendly, gave helpful hints without spoiling the fun. Perfect activity for friends and families. We’ll absolutely come back to try other themes! Highly recommend.

5 months agoMy husband and I have done 30+ escape rooms in NZ, AUS, and the US. Escapist have some of the most immersive rooms we’ve done, with unique puzzles that we haven’t seen before. The staff are extremely kind and accommodating. We spent the entire day here for my husband’s birthday doing an escape room first and spending our remaining time playing board games in the cafe. Ash and Khusbu were super friendly, had a laugh with us, and went above and beyond to make our day special. The coffee is great, and there are tons of games to choose from. I can’t recommend The Escapist and its staff enough for anybody looking for a day of fun.

6 months agoWe did the Bloodstone Keep room as a group of four, and all of us have done quite a few escape rooms before. This is listed as their hardest room, but we found it reasonably easy, not in a bad way at all, more just because we have experienced them before and know what to look for and how to connect things quickly. I think it would be a lot more challenging (and perfect) for a less experienced team. What we really loved was how the room allowed us to naturally split into pairs and work on different puzzles at the same time, which all came together in the end. It kept everyone involved and made the experience more dynamic. The theming was awesome and really well done. The staff were amazing too they stayed in character, even dressing in robes to introduce the story, which added so much to the experience. The props were a standout as well, especially the garlic necklaces and the stake for the vampire such a cool touch. Also the board game lounge is super cool, such a variety of games to play. You receive an hour of free board game time with the room you book. We didn’t use this unfortunately but definitely will for next time. There are also drinks and such in the board game cafe. Overall, a really fun and immersive room with great design and atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

3 months agoThis was so great. We went as part of a work function. The rooms they recommended (Tabby Lane and El Dorado) were fantastic and perfect for a work do. A lot of laughs, especially the cat one! Staff were amazing: booking was easy, comms were great, everyone was very friendly and approachable, and the 'scene setting' delivered by staff was so so good. Very highly recommend this experience!!
